Don Wacome, Ph.D.

Dr. Wacome is the co-author of Science and the Soul. His essay, “Reductionism’s Demise: Cold Comfort,” has been published in Zygon, a journal of religion and science. He focused on ethical theory while in graduate school, earning his doctorate from Duke University.
Wacome’s teaching specialties include the philosophy of the mind, the relation of Christian faith and science, political philosophy, and philosophy of the natural and social sciences. He was a visiting scholar at the Center for Theology and the Natural Sciences in Berkeley, Calif. Prior to joining Northwestern’s faculty, he taught at Duke University and The King’s College and served as a research fellow at Yale University Divinity School.
