RN to BSN online

At least 80% of nurses should have a BSN or more advanced degree, according to both the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the Institute of Medicine. In addition, a BSN degree is required for nurses who want to become nurse practitioners, nurse midwives or nurse anesthetists.

Northwestern's online RN to BSN completion option is designed specifically for registered nurses who graduated from associate degree or hospital diploma nursing programs; applicants must be residents of Iowa, Minnesota, South Dakota or Nebraska. The program's adult-student-friendly curriculum is intended to accommodate the schedules of working nurses and can be completed in 2.5 years while taking just one course at a time. Financial aid is available for students taking at least 6 credits per semester.

Nursing at Northwestern

Northwestern College's distinctive faith-based BSN program focuses on promoting shalom: individual, family and community health, wholeness and peace. The program is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) and approved by the Iowa Board of Nursing.
