RN to BSN info sessions to be offered

Area nurses interested in earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree online are invited to attend one of two informational sessions being hosted by Northwestern College: Tuesday, July 2, 2 to 4 p.m., or Wednesday, July 10, 6 to 8 p.m. Both sessions will be held in the lobby of the DeWitt Theatre Arts Center.

The sessions will be led by Dr. Rebecca Hoey, director of online learning, and Dr. Ruth Daumer, chair of Northwestern’s nursing department. Participants are encouraged to bring their unofficial transcripts to the meeting so Daumer can review them for enrollment eligibility.

Northwestern’s online BSN is for registered nurses who graduated from associate degree or hospital diploma nursing programs. The RN to BSN completion option is designed to accommodate the schedules of working nurses and can be completed in two-and-a-half years while taking just one course at a time.

Financial aid is available. Applicants to Northwestern’s online RN to BSN program must be residents of Iowa, Minnesota, South Dakota or Nebraska. For more information, visit www.nwciowa.edu/rn-to-bsn or contact Daumer at nursing@nwciowa.edu or 712-707-7220.
