Dr. Scott Monsma, associate professor of sociology at Northwestern College, presented a paper at the Iowa Dialogue Conference, which was held at the University of Northern Iowa on Oct. 22.
Monsma spoke on "Rediscovering the Other Zwemer Hall: Engaging in Interfaith Dialogue in the Sultanate of Oman."
Monsma led Northwestern students on study abroad trips to Taiwan in 2000 and to Oman in 2004, '06 and '08. A member of Northwestern's faculty since 1999, he earned doctoral and master's degrees in sociology at the University of Pittsburgh and a bachelor's degree at Geneva College. | | PRESS CONTACTDuane Beeson
