Monsma speaks on interfaith dialogue

Dr. Scott Monsma, associate professor of sociology at Northwestern College, presented a paper at the annual conference of the Association of Christians Teaching Sociology on June 4. The event was held at Pennsylvania's Eastern University.

Monsma spoke on "Interfaith Dialogue: Ideas Drawn From Experience."

A former president of the association, Monsma led Northwestern students on study abroad trips to Taiwan in 2000 and to Oman in 2004, '06 and '08. A member of Northwestern's faculty since 1999, he earned doctoral and master's degrees in sociology at the University of Pittsburgh and a bachelor's degree at Geneva College.
