Projects sought for NWC Day of Service

Orange City residents who could use some volunteer help this spring are encouraged to contact Northwestern College. The college will hold its second annual Day of Service on Saturday, April 17, and is currently soliciting projects.

Last year, students did work such as scraping paint, landscaping, cleaning and babysitting.

Residents who would like assistance should contact Brittany Caffey, AmeriCorps VISTA volunteer coordinator at Northwestern, by March 17. She can be reached at 707-7296 or bcaffey@nwciowa.edu.

“The Day of Service provides Northwestern College with a tremendous opportunity to say thank you to our surrounding community,” says Caffey. “By doing this, we are able to strengthen and deepen our community relationships. Numerous essential organizations, churches and residents will benefit from the Day of Service through the efforts of our dedicated volunteers. We are glad to lighten the load, if only a little bit, of community members to thank them for their continuous support of Northwestern College.”
