Carlson joins art faculty

Arnold Carlson has joined Northwestern College's art department as an assistant professor.

Carlson served as a visual arts instructor at the renowned Interlochen Center for the Arts in northern Michigan for the last eight years, teaching sculpture, ceramics and figure drawing. He has taught at many levels, including graduate, undergraduate, continuing education and high school. His art work has been exhibited in Maine, Michigan and Tennessee.

A 1997 Master of Fine Arts graduate of Memphic College of Art, Carlson also earned bachelor's degrees in visual arts and biblical studies from Northwestern College of Roseville, Minn., in 1994.
