Karen Barker, professor of theatre/speech, and Dr. Joonna Trapp, associate professor of English, attended a seminar in Christian scholarship at Calvin College, Grand Rapids, Mich., July 17-28. The Northwestern faculty members were part of the seminar on "Writing as Christian Proclamation in Contemporary Contexts: The Truth's Superb Surprise."
The seminar explored how excellent writing can present central Christian themes to contemporary audiences, especially those outside of or new to the church.
