Business professor earns doctorate

Carrell has completed a Doctor of Management degree from Colorado Technical University in Colorado Springs. Her dissertation is entitled “Intellectual Capital: An Inquiry of its Acceptance.”

The assistant professor of business teaches marketing, business law, consumer behavior, human resources and business research. Before coming to Northwestern, she was a hospital CEO for Quorum Health Resources and a 30-year business executive. She served as a fellow for the American College of Healthcare Executives and as district president for the Wisconsin Hospital Association.

Carrell also holds a master’s degree in healthcare administration from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Stephen F. Austin State University, Nacogdoches, Texas.
