Wooldridge active in performing

Dr. Marc Wooldridge, associate professor of music, has been active in performing recently:
- He performed Russell Peterson’s newly commissioned concerto for marimba and band, “The Life of King David,” with bands at Houghton College of New York, Indiana Wesleyan University, Buena Vista University of Iowa, Sioux City (Iowa) West High School and two suburban Chicago high schools this spring. He also gave a percussion master class at many of those sites.
- At the Minnesota Days of Percussion hosted by Concordia College on April 1 and 2, he performed his solo touring recital, Journeys: Multimedia Percussion as well as “The Life of King David.”
- He directed Northwestern’s Percussion Ensemble at the Iowa Day of Percussion hosted by Central College in Pella on April 9.
- At the University of Texas at San Antonio in February, he served as guest composer and performer for a regional conference of the Society for Composers and gave a percussion/composition workshop.
- He gave a world-premiere performance of his new marimba duet, “Diamond Hill,” in February at Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
