A mezzo-soprano, Professor Lodine has appeared with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra, the Philip Glass Ensemble and the symphonies of Indianapolis, Milwaukee and Phoenix. She has also sung with the Anchorage Opera, the Houston Masterwork Chorus and the Madison Opera. A frequent soloist with Music of the Baroque, Lodine can be heard on the group’s recording Vom Himmel Hoch. She received acclaim for her work in the world premiere and recording of Jon Polifrone’s Requiem, which was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize. She also is a member of the vocal ensemble Conspirare, based in Austin, Texas, which was nominated for a Grammy for its 2006 CD "Requiem."

Lodine made her Carnegie Hall debut in Handel’s Messiah under the baton of composer and conductor John Rutter. Professor Lodine earned a Bachelor of Music degree in music theory from Indiana University and received several Margaret Hillis Foundation scholarships from the Chicago Symphony Chorus.
