The principal tubist for the South Dakota Symphony Orchestra, Professor Andersen also plays bass with the South Dakota Arts Council group “Jazz Portraits.” A middle school band director in Worthington, Minnesota, he maintains a private studio in the Sioux Falls area. He earned a Master of Music degree from the University of South Dakota and a bachelor’s degree in music education from South Dakota State University.
