Christ Chapel and DeWitt Music Hall
The music department is based in the award-winning Christ Chapel and DeWitt Music Hall. The 900-seat chapel has a stage large enough to accommodate a 100-piece orchestra. It also houses the 45-stop, 56-rank tracker action Arvella Schuller pipe organ, constructed by world-renowned organ builder Jan van Daalen, and a direct-to-disk digital recording system.
DeWitt Music Hall has outstanding rehearsal rooms for vocal and instrumental ensembles, practice rooms, faculty offices, a music library, classrooms, and an electronic keyboard and computer lab.
In addition, a recording studio in Van Peursem Hall offers students in the Music Technology course the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in digital technology and analog sound amplification.
