| Jim Heynen | RSC 154 |
Born on a farm near Doon, Iowa, Jim Heynen attended one of Iowa’s last one-room schoolhouses and later wrote about the places and people of northwest Iowa in The One-Room Schoolhouse: Stories about the Boys (1993). Heynen has published numerous poems, stories and articles in publications like Harper’s and The New York Times. He also translates Lakota songs. He currently lives in St. Paul, Minn., and taught at St. Olaf College. |

| Charles Morrissey | RSC 130 |
Charles Morrissey began his career as an oral historian when we was commissioned to record interviews with former White House staffers during the Truman administration. He has directed the oral history project for the John F. Kennedy Library and the U.S. Congress. Currently, he is an oral history consultant at the Baylor College of Medicine and for the William J. Clinton Presidential History. Morrissey lives in East Hardwick, Vt., and Houston, Texas. |
