Kim Jongerius, Ph.D.
Professor of Mathematics

Dr. Jongerius, the 2005 recipient of Northwestern's Teaching Excellence Award, has served as a reviewer for calculus and intermediate algebra textbooks. A math and English graduate of Northern Arizona University, she holds a doctorate and master's in mathematics from Colorado State University and has been published in the Journal of Pure and Applied Algebra.
Dr. Jongerius teaches Calculus for Management, Life and Social Sciences; Precalculus Mathematics; and upper-level math courses, including Logic and Discrete Mathematics, Calculus III, Linear Algebra, Abstract Algebra, and College Geometry. She is currently serving as vice president of the Association of Christians in the Mathematical Sciences. Other memberships include the Mathematical Association of America and the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics.
