Library instruction

Ramaker Library offers basic and specialized library instruction to help students find the print and electronic resources they need. Librarians welcome opportunities to assist faculty with information literacy sessions. Sessions that focus on a particular assignment or research paper benefit students the most.

Instruction can include:
  • How to use print and electronic reference resources
  • How to search library catalogs and databases
  • How to locate and evaluate Internet websites
  • How to use interlibrary loan
Our primary goal is that students will feel confident in using an academic library to its fullest potential. Teaching information literacy skills that are relevant to the curriculum is a collaborative effort between faculty and librarians. Working together ensures the academic success of students.
