Investing in Northwestern students is a wonderful way to build the kingdom of God and ensure your gift will have a widespread impact in our world.
Northwestern College is blessed to be prayerfully and financially supported by churches. We are committed to faithfully preserving our heritage of being a truly Christian college. Grounded in the tradition of the Reformed Church in America (RCA), Northwestern College promotes a comprehensive integration of faith, learning and living that prepares students for lives of service to God and humankind.
The financial partnership of many churches—both within the RCA and from other denominations—directly impacts students and the kind of education they receive here by reducing the cost of tuition, providing program resources, and supporting building projects. Whether including Northwestern College among your church’s missions support or taking a special offering for the college, your church can have a worldwide impact through the lives of our students.
Church gifts can be directed to any of the following areas:
Northwestern Fund
The most common designation for gifts from churches, the Northwestern Fund helps to significantly reduce the cost of student tuition, supports academic and co-curricular activities for our students, and much more.
Scholarships
Many of our students rely on financial assistance to attend Northwestern. Your church can support an existing scholarship or establish one of your own.
Capital projects
As Northwestern’s campus continues to grow, so does the need for resources to fund capital projects. Alumni, friends and churches play an important role in affirming our mission and ministry with their financial support for campus improvements.
Student ministry gifts
Our students are encouraged to develop a Christian worldview and to serve God and others on campus and throughout the world. Churches can help support students as they minister in homeless shelters and prisons, on worship teams serving area churches, and as part of Spring Service Project and Summer of Service outreaches into other cultures and countries.
