A native of Argentina, Dr. Gonzalez is fluent in Spanish, English and German and can read Italian, Portuguese and French. Before joining Northwestern’s faculty, she taught at universities in Peru, the United States, Mexico, Germany and Argentina. Her doctorate in linguistics is from the University of Göttingen in Germany.
Gonzalez is the author of a number of articles that have been published in professional journals. She translated from English to Spanish The Picture Bible, published by Cook Communications Ministries, and The Evangelical Truth by John R.W. Stott. She also has made presentations at the National Linguistics Congress. She is a member of the International Association for the Promotion of Christian Higher Education (IAPCHE).
