Before coming to Northwestern, Professor McDonald taught Spanish at both the high school and college levels. She also has taught English as a second language and Bible to Chinese students in Taiwan and has participated in short-term mission trips to Latin America. McDonald is a graduate of Central College, Iowa, and earned a master’s degree in educational leadership from Southwest State University, Minnesota. She also has studied in both Mexico and Spain. In addition to teaching Spanish at Northwestern, McDonald serves as the adviser to the Spanish Club.
