William & Joyce Angus Mission Scholarship
Friends of Joyce Angus established this scholarship in memory of William and Joyce for their faithful service to Jesus Christ in China and the Philippines. In consideration of their wishes, three scholarships will be given annually in order of priority to Asian students, international students, or American students planning to enter missionary service. More



A. R. Brouwer Scholarship
This scholarship was established in memory of Rev. Arie R. Brouwer ’54 by Steve and Margaret Brouwer in recognition of Rev. Brouwer’s commitment to Christian values and service to humankind. It is awarded to a student who demonstrates a sincere Christian faith and character. More



Donald & Janet De Groot Christian Leadership Scholarship
Donald and Janet De Groot established this scholarship in recognition of the need to assist students preparing for Christian service. This scholarship is awarded to a junior or senior with a cumulative GPA of 2. More



Kathryn & Herman De Haan Scholarship
This scholarship initially was established by Herman De Haan ’20 in memory of his wife, Kathryn ’23. After Herman died, the De Haan family increased the funding and extended the recognition to include Herman. More



William Dykshorn Jr. Scholarship
This scholarship was funded through a will bequest from William Dykshorn Jr. in recognition of the need to equip young women and men committed to serving Christ. Several scholarships are granted to students in their junior or senior year who are committed to entering full-time Christian service. More



Carl & Corrine Folkers Christian Service Scholarship
This scholarship was established by Carl and Corrine ’53 Folkers to provide financial assistance to a junior or senior who has been actively involved in either Spring Service Projects or Summer of Service. More



Eva Porter Hart Scholarship
This scholarship was established by the late Mrs. Margaret Surbeck. The scholarship is given to a person who excels in Christian leadership and academic achievement. More



Rev. & Mrs. Enos Heeren Christian Service Scholarship
Rev. Enos Heeren and Mrs. Wilhelmina Heeren established this scholarship in recognition of their lifelong commitment to service to the Reformed Church in America and a desire to assist students who also plan to devote their lives in service to Jesus Christ. A scholarship is awarded to one or more students who plan a lifetime in the ordained ministry or in any other full-time Christian occupation. More



Henry Hospers Scholarship
Established by Miss Hendrina Hospers (1897 and 1900) in honor of Mr. Henry Hospers (1885), this scholarship is granted to one or more foreign students who are residents of Reformed Church mission fields, or to American students entering foreign or domestic missions, the ministry, or related Christian work. More



Dena Humme Scholarship
Established by a gift from the estate of Dena Humme, this scholarship recognizes her lifelong commitment to the support of Christian missionary efforts throughout the world. It is intended for students preparing to enter full-time Christian missionary service—with preference to those planning foreign mission careers—and is open to students in the sophomore through senior level. More



Otto F. Kepp Scholarship
This scholarship, in memory of Mr. Otto F. Kepp, is given to a student who shows outstanding academic achievement and has financial need. More



Steven S. Koopmans Scholarship
This scholarship was established in memory of Steven S. Koopmans ’83 by his family and friends in recognition of the positive impact Northwestern College had on Steve’s life and the lives of so many others. The scholarship is awarded to a student who demonstrates a personal commitment to Jesus Christ and has a financial need. More



Arthur J. & Harriet J. Moss Scholarship
This scholarship was established by Arthur J. and Harriet J. Moss to assist students preparing for a career in Christian service. It is available for a junior or senior who plans to devote his/her life to Christian ministry: pastor, Christian education, missionary service or some other related full-time Christian vocation. More



Jacob Moss Pre-Theological Scholarship
This scholarship was funded by Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Moss. Two scholarships are granted to senior pre-theological students who have outstanding ability in theological studies, have financial need, and are members of the Reformed Church in America. More



Norma Muilenburg Memorial Scholarship
Established in memory of Norma Muilenburg ’57 by her family, this scholarship is awarded to a student entering his/her sophomore year. The recipient must have completed his/her freshman year at Northwestern with a GPA of at least 2. More



Reformed Church Women's Scholarship
This fund was established by Reformed Church women. A scholarship is awarded to a junior or senior woman who is a member of the Reformed Church, has demonstrated excellence in scholarship, and is preparing to serve in a church-related vocation. More



Henry Rensink Family Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship was established by Sena Rensink in memory of Henry and Tillie Rensink, Cornelius J. Rensink and Anthony W. Rensink. It is available to a student from an RCA congregation within the Synod of the Heartland. More



Summer Mission Scholarship
This scholarship was established by an anonymous donor for students who otherwise may not have an opportunity to engage themselves in summer mission service. It is given to a sophomore, junior or senior student who has devoted, or intends to devote, at least one summer period to volunteer mission work. More



Summer of Service Scholarship
Established in memory of Todd D. Heemstra ’92, this scholarship was funded by family and friends in recognition of Todd’s significant association and involvement with the Summer of Service ministry. This scholarship is given to a student who has participated (or will be participating) in the Summer of Service program. More



Nelvina Ver Steeg Thomas Mission Scholarship
This scholarship was established by Nelvina Ver Steeg Thomas and with proceeds from the Lyle Thomas estate. Several scholarships are awarded to junior or senior students committed to entering full-time foreign or domestic mission work or Christian service occupations. More



Nelvina Ver Steeg Thomas Scholarship
Established by Nelvina Ver Steeg Thomas, this scholarship recognizes both her conviction and commitment that Christians are called to serve. One or more scholarships will be awarded to sophomore, junior or senior students preparing to enter a full-time Christian service profession. More



Mr. & Mrs. Bernard Vander Aarde Scholarship
Established by Bernard and Christine Vander Aarde, this scholarship recognizes the full-time Christian service of the Vander Aardes’ two sons, Stanley ’51 and Robert ’56. The award is given to a Northwestern student interested in full-time Christian service, especially missions. More



Dr. Victor Ver Meulen Family Scholarship
This scholarship was established by Mildred Ver Meulen in memory of her husband, Dr. Victor Ver Meulen, as a tribute to the family’s commitment to higher education from a Christian worldview. The scholarship is awarded to a student who intends to enter full-time Christian service and has financial need. More



Weiss Family Arab Student Scholarship
This scholarship was established by Ray and Dorothy Weiss to assist Arab-speaking international students. Preference will be given to students who intend to return to their home country to serve. More



Adrian P. Zwemer Family Scholarship
This scholarship was established by J. Harold Netten ’54 to commemorate the lives and accomplishments of members of the Zwemer family. It is available to a junior or senior who shows leadership skills, is active in some type of campus ministry or Christian service organization, and has the ability to equip other students for Christian service. More
