Bezuyen Nursing Scholarship
This scholarship was established by Mary Bezuyen ’64 in recognition of the need for more young men and women to enter the field of nursing. Any nursing freshman or sophomore student who demonstrates financial need can be considered. More



Bomgaars Scholarship
This scholarship was established for employees or dependents of employees of Bomgaars Supply Store. All applicants, whether an incoming freshman or current college student, must have a cumulative GPA of 3. More



Casualty Insurance Underwriters Inc. Scholarship
This scholarship was established by Casualty Insurance Underwriters for its employees and their immediate dependents. More



Grace Sneller De Boer Scholarship
The family of Grace De Boer ’35 established this scholarship to commemorate Grace’s lifelong devotion to the teaching profession. The scholarship is matched by an equal loan from the Northwestern Rotary Loan Fund. More



Josiah & Kristen Dunlap Band Scholarship
This scholarship was established by Josiah ’01 and Kristen (Van Roekel ’02) Dunlap. The recipient must be an incoming freshman, sophomore or transfer student who intends to participate in Northwestern’s collegiate band program but who has not done so before. More



Chaplain Matthew & Marcia Floding Scholarship
This scholarship was established by Matt Floding, who served as Northwestern’s chaplain from 1989 to 1999, and his wife, Marcia. Applicants must be sophomores, juniors or seniors. More



Hebrews 12:1 Scholarship
This scholarship was established by David and Kay Wolf. Applicants must be incoming freshman student-athletes who demonstrate financial need and a sincere Christian faith and character. More



John Hughes Family Education Scholarship
This scholarship was established by John ’72 and Pam Hughes in recognition of those who were instrumental in John’s educational experience at Northwestern College and in honor of his parents, Judge John Hughes and Jeanne (McArthur) Hughes. The scholarship is for junior or senior female students planning on a career in teaching. More



Ron & Peg Juffer Education Scholarship
This scholarship was established by Ron ’56 and Peg Juffer; Ron taught in Northwestern’s education department from 1967 to 2002. It is designed to assist American minorities or international students, with preference given to a student majoring in education. More



Maintenance Department Scholarship
This scholarship was established by the Northwestern College Maintenance Department to assist students with financial need. It is given to a junior or senior who has worked with the maintenance department and has shown evidence of sincere Christian character and leadership. More



Otley Reformed Church Scholarship
The Otley Reformed Church of Otley, Iowa, funds this scholarship for a student affiliated with the Reformed Church in America whose family has active membership in a congregation within the Central Iowa Classis. The recipient must be a financially deserving upperclassman, preferably a senior. More



Paul & Jennie Smith Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to an incoming freshman student-athlete who intends to participate in the men’s soccer program. It is renewable provided the scholarship recipient continues to meet requirements. More



Tulip Court Scholarship
Funded by the Orange City Tulip Festival Steering Committee and Northwestern College, one-time scholarships are available to individuals chosen as Orange City’s Tulip Queen and those serving on the Queen's Court. More



Kyle Vande Berg Memorial Scholarship
In memory of Kyle Vande Berg, this scholarship is awarded to an outstanding student involved in intercollegiate athletics. More



Dr. Carl D. and Charlotte A. Van de Waa Scholarship
This scholarship was established in recognition of the Van de Waas’ lifelong commitment to healthcare and the mission of Northwestern College. Recipients must be planning on a career in a healthcare profession. More



Dave & Marilyn Van Engelenhoven Scholarship
This scholarship was established by Ben ’97 and Paul ’92 Van Engelenhoven and Juliana (Van Engelenhoven ’95) Else in honor of their parents’ affection for Northwestern College and commitment to community involvement. One scholarship is awarded to a junior or senior who demonstrates Christian character and has a strong history of involvement in their local community. More



James & Hendrina Van Gelder Christian Service Scholarship
This scholarship is intended for those students who show financial need and are planning to enter full-time Christian service. Applicants must be members of the Reformed Church in America. More



Ted Van Grootheest Scholarship
This scholarship is funded in memory of Ted Van Grootheest by his family. It is awarded by the computer science department to a junior or senior who has a major in computer science. More



Jay & Mary Van Hook Scholarship
Jay and Mary Van Hook established this scholarship for international students from an African country; Jay taught in Northwestern’s philosophy department from 1974 to 1999. The recipient must demonstrate financial need and the ability to achieve his/her academic goals. More



William Van Rooyen/Newkirk Reformed Church International Scholarship
This scholarship is funded by the William E. Van Rooyen Trust, which is administered by the Newkirk Reformed Church. It is awarded to international students who have demonstrated financial need. More



Warrior Poet Scholarship
Established by Ben ’00 and Katie Lacey, Donny ’00 and Jessica ’00 Strand, and Michael Greller ’00, the Warrior Poet Scholarship is awarded to a fourth-year resident of Heemstra Hall who embodies the four pillars of Heemstra: community, respect, service and protection. More
