Jean McGregor Heemstra Early Elementary Education Scholarship
John Heemstra ’41 established this scholarship in memory of his wife, Jean McGregor Heemstra, in recognition of their deep affection and appreciation for Northwestern College and Jean’s devotion to her career in teaching and teacher education. One or more scholarships are awarded to students majoring in elementary education. Applicants must have financial need and demonstrate a preference and ability to teach children in the early elementary grades.

Please check this webpage again in November of 2008, when Northwestern will open the scholarship application process for the 2009-10 academic year.
