Athletic Scholarship

A limited number of Northwestern Athletic Scholarships are available for talented student-athletes who participate in intercollegiate athletics at NWC. The scholarships are awarded by the head coach for each sport in conjunction with the financial aid office, and are based upon the student’s special achievements and potential for further development.

To be eligible for a Northwestern Athletic Scholarship, incoming students who have been accepted for admission to NWC must meet two of the three following requirements: a cumulative GPA of 2.0, an ACT of 18 (or comparable SAT score), and a class ranking in the top 50 percent of their high school class. All students receiving a Northwestern Athletic Scholarship must be in good academic standing and meet the college's requirements for participation in co-curricular activities. They must also meet the eligibility rules of the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).

The Northwestern Athletic Scholarship is awarded for one year at a time. Awards are reviewed at the end of each year.

How to apply
