Adult Education Grant for undergraduate courses
The Adult Education Grant is available to students who are at least 25 years old; who do not have a bachelor’s degree; who have not been a student at Northwestern College within the past five years; and who have not been a full-time student at another college, university, vocational or post-secondary school within the past five years.
The program provides free tuition for four semester credits. If you continue at Northwestern, you will receive an additional four tuition-free credits each time you reach the next grade classification (sophomore, junior, senior), providing you maintain a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.50.
Northwestern’s Adult Education Grant is designed to help you explore our course offerings without placing a financial burden on you. With free tuition for four credits, your costs are limited to books and any additional fees. Other financial aid is available on the basis of your qualifications and the total number of credits being taken.

Tuition-free undergraduate courses for alumni
Alumni of Northwestern College may take courses for no credit (audit), tuition free. This offer is available to two- and four- year graduates of the college who are at least 25 years old. A maximum of four credits per semester may be taken. Enrollment will be on a space-available basis.
Alumni who take these courses will be responsible for the payment of any additional fees associated with the course. Alumni may register in the registrar’s office during regular office hours the week before a course begins.
Because of space limitations in certain courses, final enrollment must be confirmed by reporting to the registrar’s office the first day the course is scheduled to begin. For more information, contact the registrar’s office at 712-707-7145.
