Financial aid

For international students

We believe international students make an important contribution to our campus, so we support your college goals by offering some financial aid—both need- and merit-based—to all international students.

  1. Complete and submit the Declaration of Finances Form. Applicants are not denied admission due to financial need, but this form helps us know how much financial assistance you will require to attend Northwestern College. We expect complete honesty and accuracy regarding all financial resources when completing this form. The form must be signed by your parents or whoever is guaranteeing payment.
  2. Along with our notification of admission, we will send our financial aid offer. (Or we may request further information from applicants who are eligible for high need scholarship consideration before determining a financial aid package.)
  3. Admitted students confirm their intent to attend Northwestern and their acceptance of the financial terms by returning the financial aid offer with a $5,000 deposit. In order to receive an I-20 and F-1 (student) visa to enter the United States, each student is required to document their ability to meet college expenses through personal and family resources, sponsors willing to support you, as well as Northwestern financial aid.

In addition to our top-10 U.S. News & World Report ranking, we’ve received national recognition for excellent academics, student volunteerism, affordability, conservation and other achievements. Learn more
