An article by Dr. Ann Lundberg, associate professor of English, has been published in ATQ, a quarterly journal of 19th-century American literature and culture. Her essay, “‘The Ruins of a Bygone Geologic Empire’: Clarence King and the Place of the Primitive in the Evolution of American Identity,” is part of a special issue on adventure and exploration.
