Professor Truesdell is serving as a sabbatical replacement for Dr. Ann Lundberg, teaching writing courses. Truesdell has a master’s degree in writing pedagogy and theory from DePaul University in Chicago. He graduated cum laude from Northwestern College in 2001.
Truesdell was a writing tutor while a student at Northwestern College and DePaul University and most recently supervised a staff of 40 tutors as a writing center specialist for College of Lake County (CLC) in Grayslake, Illinois. He also designed and led writing workshops at CLC. Truesdell belongs to several professional organizations, including the Conference on College Composition and Communication, National Council of Teachers of English and National College Learning Center Association.
