Northwestern College’s theatre department invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position with an emphasis in lighting design, sound design and projections beginning fall 2013.Qualified candidates should hold an MFA in design, have had successful teaching experience, and possess a sense of humor.
The successful candidate will develop and teach courses in lighting, sound and projection design, as well as design multiple faculty-directed productions each year and mentor student designers. Included in the position is the expectation that the candidate also teach within our Integrated General Education program’s newly created First-Year Seminar: Speaking and Writing in Community. Additional responsibilities include advising and recruiting students, scholarship, and departmental/committee service.
We seek faculty dedicated to ensemble with an authentic Christian faith who will support the college’s mission, Reformed and evangelical identity, and its commitment to Christian liberal arts as expressed in in our Vision for Learning.
