Northwestern College announces a part-time faculty position in Chamber Orchestra conducting and string methods.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Teaching responsibilities include directing the Chamber Orchestra and teaching string methods courses. Teaching applied lessons on instrument of expertise and/or other courses based on the candidate’s background and experience is also a possibility, depending on the qualifications of the candidate. The successful candidate will also be expected to assist in departmental recruiting efforts in the string area.
QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must have a master’s degree in music (doctorate preferred). The successful candidate will have the expertise and ability to direct our Chamber Orchestra and teach in their applied area or expertise. We seek a strong musician with broad knowledge and excellent interpersonal, leadership and communication skills.
