Northwestern College invites applications for a tenure-track position in a growing communications program beginning August 2012.
We seek a communications generalist with expertise in journalism and/or public relations and the ability to teach courses in media law, reporting and writing for reporting, advertising, converged media platforms, social and emerging media, communications theory, interpersonal communication, mass media and society, as well as new courses.The successful candidate will also be responsible for advising the student newspaper and journalism practicum, internship supervision, and advising and recruiting students.
Preferred qualifications include a Ph.D. or M.F.A. in communication or a related fieldand a demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching, research and college service. Affiliated with the Reformed Church in America, Northwestern College seeks candidates with an authentic Christian faith who will support the college’s mission, Reformed and evangelical identity, and commitment to Christian liberal arts as expressed in our Vision for Learning.
