Assistant or Associate Professor of Rhetoric and Composition
Northwestern Collegeinvites applications for a tenure-track position in rhetoric and composition beginning in fall 2012. Requirement: Ph.D. in rhetoric and composition with interest or experience in Writing Across the Curriculum. Successful teaching experience in composition and rhetoric is essential.
The normal teaching load is two full (4 credit) and two half (2 credit) semester courses per term. Courses include Freshman Composition, Writing in the Professions, Argumentation and Debate, and Rhetorical Studies. The incumbent will receive a 4 credit/year release to facilitate writing instruction in the general education program and across the disciplines.
