Profile

Patricia Hansen is an experienced middle and high school teacher who in 1985 wrote the Department of Education's social studies curriculum for the state of Iowa. She taught American history for eighth graders and world affairs for ninth graders in Fort Dodge, Iowa, before joining the MOC-Floyd Valley School System in Orange City in 1993. Since 2000 she has been teaching10th grade American history and elective classes in major religions, modern U.S. history, and sociology. Other roles she has held during her career include that of K-12 curriculum specialist, athletic director, head girls' basketball coach, and head volleyball coach. She holds a Master of Education degree in effective teaching from Drake University.
