Kresge Education Center
The education department’s first-class facilities in the Kresge Education Center illustrate the importance Northwestern places on education. The wing, located in Van Peursem Hall, includes two classrooms, one of which is a specially designed model demonstration classroom. Also in the education center are a seminar room, a curriculum library and faculty offices.
The classrooms provide students hands-on opportunities with multimedia equipment. Digital cameras, scanners, the Internet and computer presentation systems equip students with knowledge and skills to use in their own classrooms. And the Stegeman Children’s Library, located in Ramaker Library, features more than 3,000 volumes of children’s literature, including a number of books by ethnic minority authors.
