Team finishes fourth in regional programming contest
A team of three Northwestern students placed fourth among 201 squads in the North Central region of the Association for Computing Machinery International Collegiate Programming Contest on Nov. 15. The NWC team solved all nine problems and, based on time scores, finished behind teams from the University of Nebraska, Iowa State and the University of Wisconsin.

Volleyball team earns first-round bye for nationals
Northwestern's volleyball team was ranked 10th in the final NAIA national ratings and has earned a first-round bye in the national tournament. The Red Raiders, 27-7, clinched a national berth by winning the Great Plains Athletic Conference regular season title. Pool play at the national tourney in Sioux City will begin on Dec. 2.

NWC to present encore of bloody, biblical musical
An encore of the original musical "Terror Texts" will take the stage in Northwestern's England Theatre Nov. 19–22 at 7:30 p.m. The play, scripted by Northwestern theatre professor Jeff Barker, introduces six Old Testament stories of misogyny, murder and mayhem.
