Partnering with
Northwestern College
As a Christian college, Northwestern is committed to supporting the church as the body of Christ. Our students are encouraged to become involved in ministry and missions—and to serve area churches through worship teams, internships and performances. Our graduates leave Northwestern prepared for kingdom work, whether they are headed to the pulpit or the pew.
We invite you to partner with us in our work of preparing the church’s future pastors, worship leaders, musicians, missionaries and lay people. You can help by encouraging students to consider Northwestern and by getting your congregation involved with the college.
If there are students in your church who are in high school, here are some things you can do:
- Encourage your church’s youth to consider Northwestern College, and affirm the value of a Christian education.
- Make students aware Northwestern offers many scholarships, grants and other financial aid that makes a private college education far less costly than commonly believed. For example, Northwestern offers an annual $1,800 grant to any first-time student who is a member of the Reformed Church in America (RCA).
- Bring a group of students for a campus visit.
- Send the names and addresses of junior and senior high school students to Northwestern’s admissions office so they can receive information about the college and what we offer.
There are a number of ways your congregation can become involved with Northwestern College:
- Visit the campus for an event or tour.
- Invite a worship team to lead a worship service.
- Host a Northwestern tour group.
- Support a student who is involved in campus ministry or service projects.
- Provide a scholarship for a student from your church who attends Northwestern College.
- Encourage your congregation to include Northwestern in your outreach/benevolent giving.
- Pray for Northwestern’s students, faculty and staff as we serve Jesus Christ in the ministry of Christian higher education.
