Pre-pharmacy
Students in the pre-pharmacy program have a number of career options, including community pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, pharmaceutical sales, and pharmaceutical research and development. Colleges of pharmacy require at least two years of pre-pharmacy followed by a four-year professional program. Some students choose to earn a B.A. first. Pre-pharmacy students should familiarize themselves with the curricular requirements of the school to which they plan to transfer after Northwestern. Many programs require students to take the Pharmacy College Admission Test (PCAT). In addition, some require a year of physics.
