Kirsten Brue meets with students to discuss options for majors and careers. She also administers and interprets interest inventories and personality assessments, organizes job shadowing and informational interviews, presents workshops, and serves as an adviser to students who have not yet decided on a major. A graduate of the University of Sioux Falls (S.D)., Kirsten earned a master’s degree in counseling with an emphasis in student services from North American Baptist Seminary in Sioux Falls. Prior to joining Northwestern’s Career Development Center staff, she spent three years as a resident director at Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Mich. She is a member of the National Association of Colleges and Employers and the National Association for Academic Advising.
