An important part of your business education at Northwestern will be an internship where you can apply what you have learned in the classroom, sharpen your skills, and discover what you have to offer when you later apply for a job. An internship also helps you find out about good job opportunities and heightens your chance of landing a job in the field you prefer. National internships
Many students take advantage of the Chicago Semester program, which offers outstanding internship opportunities as well as classes that will help you develop Christian social values, understand the city and its culture, and strengthen your career goals. The four-day-per-week internship and Friday seminars enable students to earn 16 credit hours toward graduation.

Northwestern students also can participate in the American Studies Program, which provides an insider’s view of Washington, D.C. An interdisciplinary, issues-oriented program, it seeks to connect biblical faith with public life and vocation while also giving students opportunities for internships with businesses, associations and governmental agencies.
