Before coming to Northwestern, Professor Carrell was a hospital CEO for Quorum Health Resources and a 30-year business executive. She served as a fellow for the American College of Healthcare Executives and as district president for the Wisconsin Hospital Association. A recipient of a Doctor of Management degree from Colorado Technical University, Carrell also holds a master’s degree in healthcare administration from Trinity University in San Antonio and a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She teaches Business Law, Principles of Marketing, Organizational Theory and Behavior, Consumer Behavior and other courses with an applied hands-on approach.
