Housing and meals

Campers are housed in the Northwestern College Bolks Apartments. These air-conditioned apartment suites include a living room, three bedrooms with two beds and two desks in each bedroom, a bathroom/shower, and a kitchenette with microwave, refrigerator, stove, etc. Males and females are housed in different apartments with adult chaperones on site.

Provided for each camper

  • 1 set of sheets
  • 2 towels
  • 1 wash cloth
  • Bath soap
  • 1 pillow with pillow case
  • 1 blanket (additional blankets available)

Housekeeping does not make the beds before—or clean the rooms during—the stay. You’ll need to provide your own personal toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, etc.) and other personal items you may desire to bring. Computers are available as is WiFi for campers who bring their own devices. You can bring extra spending money, but all meals, snacks and recreational expenses are covered by your camp registration fee.

Recreational opportunities

  • Disc golf
  • Indoor and outdoor track, tennis and other sports facilities at the Rowenhorst Student Center
  • Swimming at the Orange City Pool

Orange City is a very safe residential community with a population of about 6,000. Known for its Dutch heritage, it is home to an annual Tulip Festival every May that draws thousands of visitors. Grocery stores, pharmacies, restaurants, a theater and areas to hike or jog are all within walking distance of campus.

Meals (Monday breakfast through Friday lunch) and snacks (during break periods) are provided.
