Application procedure and costs
July 15–19, 2013
Application deadline: Monday, June 17
Who should apply
The Northwestern Neuroscience Camps (NNC) are designed for high school students interested in learning about neuroscience and related fields. Preference is given to academically strong students who have completed their junior or senior year of high school. Academically well-prepared students who have completed their sophomore year of high school may also be considered. Each camp is limited to 10 to 15 students. As of March 5, we have a mailing list of approximately 90 inquiries regarding NNC, so it is advisable to apply early, as only two camps are being offered and they are likely to fill rapidly.
$650 (plus $100 deposit)
The registration fee covers all expenses for the camp: housing, meals, snacks, field trips, recreational activities, etc.
- Submit an application by the application deadline of Wednesday, May 1. Notification of acceptance will occur on or before Wednesday, June 19.
- After being notified of acceptance to the camp, send the mandatory Parental Emergency Medical Consent form and the $100 deposit check—which secures your place at the camp, serves as a refundable key/room security deposit, and is returnable at the end of the camp (the medical consent form and deposit check should be received by Wednesday, June 26). Note: The $100 deposit is non-refundable for accepted applicants who cancel or decide not to attend after Saturday, June 15.
- The $650 camp registration fee is due upon arrival at the camp. Make checks out to Northwestern College, with “NNC” on the memo line.
