Application procedure and costs

July 14–18, 2014

Application deadline: Wednesday, May 14

Who should apply

The Northwestern Neuroscience Camp (NNC) is designed for high school students interested in learning about neuroscience and related fields. Preference is given to academically strong students who have completed their junior or senior year of high school. Academically well-prepared students who have completed their sophomore year of high school may also be considered.

Registration fee

$650 (plus $100 deposit)

The registration fee covers all expenses for the camp: housing, meals, snacks, field trips, recreational activities, etc. The $100 deposit check is required following notification of acceptance to hold your place in the camp; this deposit also serves as your key/room security deposit and is returnable for those who attend the camp. Nothing is due until after notification of your acceptance to the camp.

Note: We do not have financial aid or scholarships to offer; we also do not offer college credit for NNC.

To apply

  1. Submit an application by the application deadline of Wednesday, May 14. Notification of acceptance will occur on or before Monday, May 19.
  2. After being notified of acceptance to the camp, send the mandatory Parental Medical Consent form and the $100 deposit check—which secures your place at the camp, serves as a refundable key/room security deposit, and is returnable at the end of the camp (the medical consent form and deposit check should be received by Wednesday, May 28). Note: The $100 deposit is non-refundable for accepted applicants who cancel or decide not to attend after Monday, June 16.
  3. The $650 camp registration fee is due upon arrival at the camp. Make checks out to Northwestern College with “NNC” on the memo line.
