Athletic training clinical rotations

Athletic training students have numerous opportunities to learn about their future profession through hands-on field experiences on and off campus. Students are required to complete a minimum of 800 field experience hours, observing and assisting Northwestern’s athletic training staff and other certified athletic trainers. Students will have field experiences with Raider athletes in the athletic training room and in practice and game settings. Additional opportunities will include high school, clinic, general medical, orthopedic and chiropractic settings.

Athletic training students who desire further experience beyond the required field experiences can apply for an exercise science internship.
