Mariah Tappe (New Richland, Minn.) has recently signed a letter of intent to play golf at Northwestern next fall.
Tappe lettered six seasons while playing for New Richmond-Hartland Ellendale-Geneva High School. The three-time team captain and team MVP averaged a 42 on nine holes and an 89 on 18. Tappe qualified for sectionals five times and earned all-conference
honors three years. An outstanding student who is a member of the National Honor Society, Tappe plans to major in nursing at Northwestern. She is the daughter of Richard and Jane.
“Mariah will bring a great spirit to our Red Raider golf team next fall,” commented Head Coach Harold Hoftyzer. “She has the potential to make an immediate impact on our team next year. Mariah really enjoys the game and I look forward to working with her over the next four years.”
