Nov 10, 2004
The Great Plains Athletic Conference women’s golf post-season honors have been announced, and freshman Melissa Hisel (Kuna, Idaho) earned first team accolades.
Hisel, a pre-med major, played in seven tournaments during her first season as a Raider. She carded a team-best 89.6 stroke average and finished as low as sixth individually in the Bobcat Invitational. Hisel finished in a tie for 25th place at the conference meet.
Hisel was part of a Northwestern team that finished in the top ten in all seven of their meets this season. Coach Hoftyzer’s squad finished in third place in the Peru State and Briar Cliff Invitationals. They finished in sixth place in the GPAC championship to conclude their season.
