NWC Women's Golf Team Announces End-of-Year Awards

The Northwestern College women's golf team announced the 2007 End-of-the-Year Awards and Melissa Hisel earned Most Valuable Player honors. The junior from Boise, Idaho, recorded a 86.4 stroke average and earned all-conference honors for the third consecutive year. She finished in a tie for 10th place at the GPAC meet and 12th at the NAIA Region III Championships.
Alison Stutzman, a senior from Austin, Minn., earned the outstanding senior award for Coach Hoftyzer's squad. Stutzman carried a 93.4 average this season and earned all-conference honors with a 10th place finish at the GPAC meet. She also led Northwestern with a fourth place showing at the NAIA Regional Championships.
Other awards received were: Most Inspirational-Chelsea Harberts; Most Improved-Lisa Horn; Most Promising Freshmen-Rachelle Pedersen and Kelsey Shiflett.
