Women's golf team in third place after day one of GPAC Championships

The Raiders stand in third place after the first day of the GPAC Championships held at River Wilds, just outside of Blair, Neb. They shot a team total of 368, nine shots in back of first place Dakota Wesleyan, the four-time defending conference champion. Morningside shot a 364 and is in second place. Midland Lutheran (372) and Hastings (384) round out the top five teams after day one. The top four teams will move on to the regional meet which will be held in the spring at a course to be determined.

Melissa Hisel, a junior from Boise, Idaho, led the Raiders with an 87 and is in a tie for third place. Alison Stutzman is tied for 12th place with a 92 and Paige Kleinwolterink is in 14th place with a 93. Lori Wurdeman from Midland Lutheran leads all golfers with an 83. Day two at River Wilds is scheduled for today (Oct. 13) with the first groups to tee off at 11:00 a.m.
