Emily Jansen (Orange City, Iowa) has recently signed a letter of intent to play golf at Northwestern this fall.
The daughter of Lu and Jane, Jansen is a three-year letter winner who played for MOC-Floyd Valley High School. She was an integral part of a team that finished as state runner-up in 2005 and 2006. Jansen posted an average of 48 this past season and a personal best of 41 on nine holes and an 84 on 18. She earned first team all-conference honors both her junior and senior years. A member of the honor roll, Jansen plans to major in elementary education at Northwestern.
“Emily will bring excitement and joy to our team,” commented Head Coach Harold Hoftyzer. “She brings a mental toughness and a desire to compete that will be real assets to our squad. We look forward to watching Emily grow as a golfer and as a person over the next four years as a Red Raider.”
