In addition, a Raider track athlete was a national champion twice, and four Raiders have been named the NAIA National Player of the Year in men’s and women’s basketball and volleyball. Athletes on the track & field and wrestling teams qualify for the national meet every year, and cross country athletes have made numerous national meet appearances. Women’s basketball player Deb Remmerde broke all known records by hitting 133 consecutive free throws during the 2005–06 season. She surpassed Daryl Moreau from De La Salle High School in New Orleans, La., who made 126 in a row in 1978 and ’79.
