Baseball Team Adds Michigan Prep

Brett Westra (Muskegon, Mich) has signed a letter of intent to continue his baseball career at Northwestern College next year.
Westra, a 6'3" pitcher, from Western Michigan Christian High School was 5-5 on the mound with a 2.89 ERA and 69 strike outs in 53.33 innings. He also hit .522 for Western Michigan Christian. Westra is the son of Don and Val. Westra plans to major in athletic training.
According to Head Coach Brian Wede, "Brett is a fine pitcher who will help us become a better baseball team. He has a pitchers body and all the tools to be successful at this level."
