Northwestern Wins Region III Tournament

Northwestern College's baseball team won the Region III baseball tournament by defeating top seed Dickinson State 5-2 on Saturday. The Raiders went 4-1 in the tournament beating Dickinson State twice, Dakota State once, and Jamestown once, their lone loss of the tournament was to the GPAC's Briar Cliff. Northwestern improved to 37-16 overall and will face Bellevue University on Thursday and Friday in a best of three series. The winner of the Super Regional will receive an automatic bid to the NAIA Baseball World Series, which takes place May 25-June 1 in Lewiston, Idaho. Game times for the series are 6:00 PM Thursday evening and 1:00 PM Friday afternoon, if necessary a third game will be played 30 minutes after the completion of game two.
